WOODROW TAKES OVER THE TOWNVIEW QUALIFIER

Being the very first (pun intended) all girls robotics team at Woodrow Wilson High School we would of never expected such as amazing turn around after an extremely devastating last two final alliance matches filled with inevitable connection issues and mechanical failures. As we waited for the award ceremony we had low expectations but were pleasantly surprised when Mr. Elliot, this years final award announcer, announced the judges pun filled opinion of the winning team for the Think award which is appointed to only the most Gracious Professional, strategic, well rounded design process and journey filled team. “13227, Woodrow Wilson Mechanicats!” We were in complete disbelief to what was said! After receiving the award it seemed to be that we were all unaware of what would come next; we were going to Regionals! We were so honored to be giving such a noble award as a first year, rookie team. We could never forget such a riveting feeling like we did that day, it was a true honor.
