The Woodrow Wilson High School Robocats were originally founded in 2012, and made their first appearance as Team 5242 during the 2014 "Aerial Assist" season. Our team's origins were humble, with our entire program operating out of an empty 6-by-6 foot closet. However, the winning of the 2016 UIL State Championships, with Team 118 and 148, garnered us support from both campus leadership and student interest. This was a pivotal moment for our team, and allowed for major growth including assets such as not one -- but two closets! The team is continuously expanding, resulting in the creation of four more FTC teams (11745, 11761, 13227, and 13916). We hope to continue building robots and creating change in our communities.
