The Mechanicats had an amazing year making it to the UIL State Championship for the second year in a row. This year's robot was named Rosie and featured a long arm with a single intake system that could pick up both gold and silver minerals. Their token for this year's game was Schrodinger's Cat which they 3D printed and handed out at competitions. This year, to expand their Women in STEM outreach, the team started the first Society of Women Engineers club in Dallas ISD, hosted Girl Scout camps impacting over 200 Girl Scouts from 15 cities across North Texas, and are hoping to have a Girls Who Code club next Fall.
